Esther 6: 7-11….Whoops!

And Haman said to the king, “For the man whom the king delights to honour, let royal robes be brought, which the king has worn, and the horse that the king has ridden, and on whose head a royal crown is set. And let the robes and the horse be handed over to one of the king’s most noble officials. Let them dress the man whom the king delights to honour, and let them lead him on the horse through the square of the city, proclaiming before him: ‘Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honour.’” Then the king said to Haman, “Hurry; take the robes and the horse, as you have said, and do so to Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king’s gate. Leave out nothing that you have mentioned.” So Haman took the robes and the horse, and he dressed Mordecai and led him through the square of the city, proclaiming before him, “Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honour.”

Comment: I’m sorry. but remembering the past couple of days devotions, and knowing Haman’s feelings, I just can’t stop laughing. What a beautiful example of pride going before a fall!

Prayer: There are things which rightly make us proud but make me discerning, wise and humble please, O Father.

    1. Marion thanks for your comments. As I’m sure you know we all need encouragement and you comments are much appreciated. AS I am into my third year of these devotionals, and you have been a very faithful ready of them, do have any suggestions for needed chaanges or suggestions for the future? Have a good week! BLH

      1. Thank you Barry for your question regarding any changes for your devotional readings. I have been thinking and praying about this, and at this point in time, I don’t have any comments or suggestions for you. Just keep on doing what you are doing, and that will be fine with me. If I think of anything, I will let you know. God bless you. Love, Marian
