Comment: Some people, when listening to music, can pick up if one note is out of tune! With poetry I struggle a bit to even see the main things to which the poet is seeking to draw attention. But as I read this I hear a volcanic explosion associated with a thunder and lighting storm all under the Hand of God. I am not sure what the ‘channels of the sea’ are. Does it mean the cycle of water from the sea to make rain was fully opened and there was a period of floods? Certainly I hear that David was desperate and God saved him! He was truly thankful. Thank you Barry for your comments on this passage. I tend to agree with the picture you described, of a volcanic eruption. I wondered if there was also an earthquake with it, and a tsunami with the uncontrolled waters of the sea rising and falling. It was certainly some type of huge natural disaster which God either brought down Himself, or allowed to take place. God bless you.
