“Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD:

they shall become like wool. Comment: Unless you have a totally small picture of God to be called up to reason with Him is an extremely terrifying call! He is after all the one who sits on the throne of the Universe. But I love the concept of Him sitting on the Mercy Seat. He’s gracious but not wishy-washy! The offer seems to be cleanse the blood stained past of our lives for new snow white clothing – inside and out!

and runs after gifts. They do not bring justice to the fatherless, and the widow’s cause does not come to them. – I’ve underlined 11 charges which God lays on the judgement table! This was addressed to the nation, but I guess that individuals would have been forced to consider the part that they individually played in this accusation. I wonder how our nation and I, as an individual, would answer God if he laid these charges against us?
