Isaiah 35: 1-7….The Ransomed shall return!

Introduction: All of life isn’t ‘beer and skittles’, joy without any problems, as we saw yesterday! Valleys have to be crossed, all life isn’t a ‘mountain top experience’! Judgement is a part of life! But the end as God has planned it and tells us today, and tomorrow, has delightfully positive times!

1 The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad;
the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus;
2 it shall blossom abundantly
and rejoice with joy and singing.
The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
the majesty of Carmel and Sharon.
They shall see the glory of the LORD,
the majesty of our God.
3 Strengthen the weak hands,
and make firm the feeble knees.
4 Say to those who have an anxious heart,
“Be strong; fear not!
Behold, your God
will come with vengeance,
with the recompense of God.
He will come and save you”

5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf unstopped;
6 then shall the lame man leap like a deer,
and the tongue of the mute sing for joy.
-There are so many diseases which tend to make life very limited! And so many desolate places and patches in life which we long to have spring into productivity and joyful living!
For waters break forth in the wilderness,
and streams in the desert;
7 the burning sand shall become a pool,
and the thirsty ground springs of water;
in the haunt of jackals, where they lie down,
the grass shall become reeds and rushes.
– It sounds as if good days might be on the way! I can hardly wait until tomorrow!

Matt 11: 4-6 – And Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them. And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.”

Prayer: Knowing Jesus is good, Father. Is there more to come?
