Isaiah 50: 7-11….Read slowly, think deeply!

The Messiah who is still to come at this time continues to speak about when He will come. He came about 700 years later. His name when born is Jesus Christ, Jesus the Messiah!
7 But the Lord GOD helps me;
therefore I have not been disgraced;
– Crucified but raised again!
therefore I have set my face like a flint,
and I know that I shall not be put to shame.
8 He who vindicates me is near.
– The Almighty God, the great ‘I Am’ can be trusted completely!
Who will contend with me?
Let us stand up together.
Who is my adversary?
Let him come near to me.
– The coming Messiah issues a challenge to those who would seek His destruction!
9 Behold, the Lord GOD helps me;
who will declare me guilty?
Behold, all of them will wear out like a garment;
the moth will eat them up.
– God stands with Me, my enemies will be defeated!
10 Who among you fears the LORD
and obeys the voice of his servant?
Let him who walks in darkness
and has no light
trust in the name of the LORD
and rely on his God.
– This is a call to people who will walk in the LIGHT of God. Even Gentiles (those who walk in darkness) are invited to walk with Jesus in the truth (light) which He brings!
11 Behold, all you who kindle a fire,
who equip yourselves with burning torches!
– Those who choose alternative understandings of life apart from what Jesus offers, go ahead ‘walk by……
Walk by the light of your fire,
and by the torches that you have kindled!
– the alternative sources of understanding whatsoever you choose –
This you have from my hand:
you shall lie down in torment.
– To you I promise a fearful end!

Joshua 24: 15 – “And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Prayer: Gladly I choose to follow You, Jesus!
