Psalm 66: 1-12….Do all people sing with joy to God?

Introduction: At the top of this Psalm in the Bible there is the following heading – “TO THE CHOIRMASTER. A SONG. A PSALM.” Because it is a song obviously it is meant to be sung. Because it is a Biblical Psalm it is divinely inspired! Verse 4 is staggering in what it says – “All the earth worships you
and sings praises to you;
they sing praises to your name.”
The verbs are in the present tense, but neither when it was written, nor now, does the whole earth, if it means all the people who live on this planet, worship Him! Is it a lie, a Hope, or a prophecy?
1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth;
2 sing the glory of his name;
give to him glorious praise! –
A magnificent introduction! Something which we have cause to do every day!
3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you.
– As I write this (ahead of the date of publication) God’s enemies should be cringing but they certainly don’t seem to be doing that before Him right now. Many Middle Eastern and European nations (largely worshipping false gods) seem determined to belittle the Jews and even many proud Jews claim to be atheists! Certainly all Australians doesn’t raise their hands in unison to worship and praise God!
4 All the earth worships you
and sings praises to you;
they sing praises to your name.” Selah
think about that! Is it a lie, a Hope, or a prophecy?
5 Come and see what God has done:
he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.
6 He turned the sea into dry land;
they passed through the river on foot.
There did we rejoice in him,
7 who rules by his might forever,
whose eyes keep watch on the nations—
let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
Think back again to my introduction and my question, ‘Is it a lie, a Hope, or a prophecy?’ If there are still rebellious ones then not everyone is worshipping God! But God has done wonderful things for His people!
8 Bless our God, O peoples;
let the sound of his praise be heard,
9 who has kept our soul among the living
and has not let our feet slip.
10 For you, O God, have tested us;
you have tried us as silver is tried.
11 You brought us into the net;
you laid a crushing burden on our backs;
12 you let men ride over our heads;
we went through fire and through water; –
yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance.
– this is the middle of this psalm but truly although God has disciplined them (the temperature to purify silver is 800+ degrees centigrade!) He has brought them purified out into abundance. It still doesn’t infer that this had happened to all people of the whole earth!

Philippians 2: 9-11 – Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Prayer: You are so good to me, O God, I would praise You joyfully!
