Psalm 66: 13-20….I will worship God! Will others follow?

I will come into your house with burnt offerings;
I will perform my vows to you,
14 that which my lips uttered
and my mouth promised when I was in trouble.
15 I will offer to you burnt offerings of fattened animals,
with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams;
I will make an offering of bulls and goats. Selah
Christians are not called upon to sacrifice animals to pay for their sin – Christ died once for all! But we are told in Romans 12; 1 – ‘to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.’
16 Come and hear, all you who fear God,
and I will tell what he has done for my soul.
17 I cried to him with my mouth,
and high praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened.
19 But truly God has listened;
he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
20 Blessed be God,
because he has not rejected my prayer
or removed his steadfast love from me!

Comment: But we are still left with the question, ‘Do all people praise God?’ So is the statement that “All the earth worships you
and sings praises to you;
they sing praises to your name,”
true or not? Is it a lie, a hope or a prophecy? It is a Biblical statement and thus cannot, if understood in its context, be a lie! Certainly it is for me a strong hope and even beyond a hope – almost a certainty! (we walk by faith and not by sight!) A certainty because it is a prophecy talking about the end times when God will straighten all things out and Christ will reign supreme!

Philippians 2: 9-11 – Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Prayer: I gladly bow my knee in worship now my God!
